The SL chair was designed in 1958 by Léon Stynen for the World Expo in Brussels. In 2016 Bulo reissued the chair in close collaboration with the Stynen family while staying true to the original design. The chair is available in various models and colors.

Léon Stynen (1899-1990) was a Belgian architect. His work spans over half a century of Belgian architectural history, with many successful and multifaceted projects. Among them, the deSingel International Art Center in Antwerp.
